My BIG 30 came and went just like that.Many asked why i was still working on my special day. I wld rather keep myself bz then spending my time sulking abt turning 3-0. Yes i went for a new biz pitch some more. Am surprised at the number of bday wishes on my FB and SMS. I still kept most of my bday wishes from last year. This year with the development of FB, the list was longer. Some of the wishes are are fr peeps who i hv not spoken with in ages, others are whom i hv known professionally.
Was really touched when my colleagues took time to run out and got me a Awfully Chocolate cake, smething which i had craved for quite a number of days. Casually mentioned to my ky and she went out with Russ to get it. I had been requesting for spa vouchers as the office gift for a number of years for now. This year i decided it has to be special, and shamelessly asked for a make over voucher haha!
Think i had been prepping for this big day since beginning of this year. Pushing myself to do things which i had always wanted to, but never actioned on it. I started hip hop classes
There was even a session of street jazz...
I also started on kickboxing classes... tok abt wanting to achieve alot just before i am 30!
Another adventurous thing which i am going to try is wakeboarding! Have always wanted to do it but nv got down to doing it :P Thanks to Miss SEW, who bought me a special voucher!
As i am still in denial, i will still stand by my "30s is the new 20s!"

When we went to Melb, Su played host and brought us ard, doing all the touristy stuff... When she came bk to SG for a short holiday, we played host this time round (even though she's local haha) with an eventful itineraryWe had sunday brunch at Spruce after service...
Followed by a mandatory k session at K-box, where "beyondness of Singing" takes place... :S
Of course, as a groupie she had to go bk and visit her idol at Pump Rm
And last but not least, we went to the Zoo and had breakfast w Ah Meng!
What a big diff, the last time i had breakfast w Ah Meng was like this:

Tonight, we attended an event where i was initially shortlisted for an award. Was certainly excited about it. Was happy to have made the selection list, would be a bonus to win it. Was never overly concerned with such achievements, would rather place more focus on seeing my client's campaigns to fruition.Was happy to see tha my boss was more excited abt it than me... haha. Just as they were going to announce it, he went: "i am so 紧张!". He was like a proud father/mentor, anxious to see someone he had groomed gaining recognition.
I really thank God that He has placed him in my life. As my boss, one who cld share openly and chide with care. He sees the potential in me and pushes me gently for it. Whilst i do throw tantrum at times, he does too. We are both tolerant of each other in this manner (or i choose to believe). I respect him for the outburst of ideas, the strategic direction he sets. Whilst i PR the client, he pushes for delivery of the work. We compliment each other as a team in this manner. I really thank God that He had placed other great team members in our care.
Right now, all i ask for is to continue sowing on my clients' campaigns. I wish that things cld only be that simple. No grudges. No politics. Realistically, that would not be possible. I nd God's favor.

I wonder where all these cute boys were hidding when i went over last year?!?! it's all abt the packaging i guess... the ones on the road are just not as polished...
Am truly amazed at how much the Koreans are into dressing themselves up. In this other Samsung mobile range, they showed step by step application on creating their mobile skin design onto your nails....

just downloaded mobile youtube onto my pda and watched sme scenes from BOF on it... lurveed e program & it's accessibility on my pda.
went to sing K w colleagues tonight & we sang "ye zi" (Leaves) by Ah Sang who has just passed on due to breast cancer. She was only 34. Cld not help but feel sad for her family. She had a one song wonder, & there was so much potential for more.
Gets me thinking if it's really worth climbing e corp ladder. how can I make a diff in ppl's lives. my moods & emo has been getting e better of me. Patience, self control are things tha I hv to consistantly remind myself. I feel like just going away for months, re-aligning & balancing out my life...
